Ctrip, the largest online travel agent in Asia, and Zsar Outlet Village have agreed to cooperate in attracting Chinese tourists to the first outlet centre in Finland. Ctrip will introduce Zsar in its travel programs and marketing platforms, such as the Ctrip website, Wechat social media channel, and mobile applications.
Ctrip, which is also the second largest in the world, has over 50 million registered members, providing comprehensive accommodation reservation, transportation ticketing, packaged tours and corporate travel solutions.
Chinese tourism to Finland increased by 32% last year compared to 2016, and 239% since 2014. Chinese are also the biggest spenders of all tourist groups, the average purchase being over €1,200 per trip.
The Zsar team recently attended a major travel exhibition ITB China in Shanghai and met with dozens of the main Chinese tour operators and travel agencies, in order to include Zsar in their itineraries and travel programs. While Finland is currently the fastest growing destination for Asian travellers in Northern Europe, good level shopping has yet been one of the missing elements. As Zsar will introduce the best offering of premium and luxury brands in Finland, the Chinese travel agencies are now eagerly looking for partnerships with the first Outlet centre in the country.
